At the top left the dual carriageway traffic comes from London. At the top right Coggeshall Road comes to join a roundabout. The old school building is at the bottom of the photo. Across the road in the bottom left corner would have been the Marks Tey Motor Works. There is not much traffic on the continuation of Coggeshall Road to near the school as it was a dead end. The present Station Road did not exist but would have headed towards the bottom right corner of the photo.
