Marks Tey's oldest habitant of 10 London Road had proudly received her telegram from the King for reaching her 100th birthday. Mrs Todd passed away on a Saturday in August. Until she was 98y she did her own housework and she did gardening until she was 95y. For 25 years she delivered the church magazine in the village. She had seven children, 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

The name of the newspaper is not recorded but 24 August 1951 was a Friday. Mrs Todd must have died on 18 August which was the previous Saturday.
