Transcript

The many friends of Mr. Ben Oades in Marks Tey and Brightlingsea will be grieved to hear of his death, which took place somewhat suddenly at 14, Barnsbury Road, Islington, N. The deceased and his young people were very popular “turns” at local and other concerts, the whole family possessing much histrionic ability. The late Mr. Oades in particular had an exceedingly fine voice, and in younger years was very much in demand. After leaving Marks Tey he went to Brightlingsea, taking a business there. He leaves a widow and two daughters and a son. The funeral took place on Thursday at Finchley.
