A stitch in time says farewell to Vera

Date

Transcript

MARKS TEY School made sure every single pupil had a hand in saying farewell to its long-serving secretary. 247 youngsters helped make a tapestry of their school to present to Vera Clarke after 33 years working there. Mrs Clarke started work at the primary school in 1956 in the original Victorian building which was demolished when the A12 was built. She was presented with the tapestry at her final assembly where staff, parents, governors, colleagues and pupils past and present all wished her a happy retirement.
