Stanley Willsher of 5 London Road (probably demolished and near the present entrance to the Parish Hall) was born on 6 January 1912. In February 1925 at the age of 13 he needed an Employment Card to deliver newspapers for an hour every morning for G. Warren at the Post Office and grocer’s shop.
