Mr A O Partridge's application to build a bungalow in Mill Road was refused by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government and agreed with by Antony Buck MP. There is a map of Mill Lane included. Plans were already in place for building the estate at Long Green and not other development and the junction of Mill Road with London Road could have led to traffic problems.
