Description
A biography of George Polley, born at Bridge Farm, Marks Tey in 1918, educated at Marks Tey School and Stanway School. His love of steam engines led to him joining the family firm of agricultural contractors. Then he bought and ran Mascotts Farm in Copford. His wife, Janet, died in 1991. In later life he was able to return to his interest in steam by attending Traction Engine Rallies.
